Employment Levels of Hair and Nail Professionals in Massachusetts
In 2013, 10,290 cosmetologists working as hairdressers, and hairstylists practiced in Massachusetts. Although the North Central region only had 80 of these professionals employed that year, other regions had no fewer than 360 licensed cosmetologists working as hairdressers, and hairstylists. The region with greatest number was the Metro South/West with 2,130. The Metro North area had about half as many cosmetologists working as hairdressers, and hairstylists with 1,120 employed there.
